Auto Body Technician

Newell’s Auto Body, an industry leader in collision repair, is looking to hire an experienced auto body technician to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate has a high level understanding of automotive collision repair and an interest in continuing their career as an auto body technician.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Dent straightening and repair
  • Panel sectioning and replacement
  • Light structural pulling
  • Experience with spot and mig welding
  • Ability and willingness to maneuver within departments i.e. disassembly/reassembly if needed
  • Lift and maneuver large vehicle parts and tools
  • Operate hand-held electrical and air-operated tools including impact wrenches, ratchets, drivers, etc.
  • Apply working knowledge of industry repair standards
  • Receive work in the order deemed necessary by the Production manager
  • Use tablet to upload pictures of damage and repair documentation into management system
  • Maintain organized efficient work area
  • Comply with all company and industry safety rules including but not limited to wearing appropriate safety gear
  • Additional duties may be assigned
  • Must own and maintain all necessary hand tools
  • Attendance and consistent work habits
  • Appearance - uniforms provided
  • Positive attitude

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to properly execute each essential duty. The requirements shown represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience

5+ years of Collision Repair experience needed.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid driver’s license and insurability required. I-Car certification required after employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour and beyond depending on experience and skill
